ABOUT MEPlease see my intro for more about me. I'd appreciate if no one replied to this thread, but PM'd me instead. It's easier on me that way. STYLEI prefer to write in third person, past tense, or first person, present tense. But I still have trouble with the latter, so unless you want me to SWITCH TENSES LIKE A MADMAN I'd prefer third past. Cx I can also write in poem format, or Dr. Seuss style, although I'm working on that one, too. Really, any style you want to throw at me, I promise I'll give it a try--just don't expect an expert in all of them, 'cause I'm used to just one. ROLEPLAYINGI do not do fandom. That's my big thing; we can take a universe you like and twist it into our own, if you'd like, but I do not roleplay canon characters. I don't know how they were intended, so I don't do them right. End of story, I refuse. Any other category is awesome; I'm most interested in fantasy, and if you'd prefer Sci-Fi or Historical you may have to help me a bit through with technicalities. I'm best with Fantasy or Modern, although I do play animals--just not, technically, as they should be played. I may need a bit of help on that one, too. PLOTSI don't really do plots, but I put characters in certain universes--G&R, 2012, etc. If you want a plot in one of the realms, by all means, send me a PM! I'd love to do one. Just don't take them for your own, or anything, because I came up with them. Or, if you'd like to come up with your own plot, one of my Dreamers would be best--they're available in all universes, even mine or yours. Or, if you'd prefer, we can make entirely new universes and characters--I'm up for that, too~ CHARACTERSListed below, in genre order. One post per character. WRITINGI do not write fanfiction, for the same reasons stated above. And very often I can't come up with my own plots or characters, so I do requests--if you can't think of a way something should be written, or you want to see something written but don't want to write it yourself, hit me up! I'll give it a shot. Just no fanfiction. ARTI give art a try occasionally, drawings and leathercrafting mostly, and I'd like critique when I do. I also do requests on these--just ask, and don't expect too much of me.

FANTASY CHARACTERS
Below are some of my fantasy-genre'd characters. Some of them are modern fantasy, some are medieval fantasy, and some are post-apocalyptic fantasy. Most of them take place in fictional places, or on different planets that function somewhat like earth does. I call these "Realms."

POST-APOCALYPTIC: 2012 Realm 1, taking place after the supposed end of the world in 2012. The earth splits open, revealing fiery hellions and dragons that block out the sky with their wings. The humans are killed or enslaved; a small group of rebels manages to escape, and take several dragon hatchlings along with them. The dragons have since grown, and the rebellion run underground, out of site of the hell the world has become.KIT
This profile is rated PG Basics:Name: Kit Baker.Age: Twenty-one.Gender: Female.Occupation: Scout for the rebellion.Status: At the moment Kit considers herelf asexual, and single.Species: Human.Appearance:At barely twenty years of age, Kit would usually be considered soft and curvy, thin enough to be considered, in the modern age, a classic beauty, but not so thin as to look malnourished. Her skin is pale and soft as moonlight, and after five years underground, it will most likely always remain so. Her eyes are a bright, brilliant forest green, though the pupils are almost always dilated so much that this is not obviously apparent; she has become so used to only the soft glow of embers that she is day-blind, the harsh sunlight caused by pollution and the sun's rays being amplified burning both her retinas and her delicate skin. Deep, blood-red hair falls over her shoulders and down her back, soft and silky. She has a spattering of freckles across the bridge of her nose and her chest and shoulders, and a little gap between her teeth, making her look much younger than she really is when she smiles, which isn't often. Her hands look as though they should belong to an artist, with long, slim fingers and smooth skin--or, what used to be smooth skin, as over her years in the rebellion--and the year of slavery before that--has made her hands calloused and harsh, cut up and maimed. She has harsh scars between her fingers, making it not impossible, but extremely difficult and painful to stretch her fingers apart. More scars, the mark of a studded whip, line her back, looking for all the world like ribbons of flesh still cling there. The lines are white now, but they lay on top of each other and look red and irritated around them--Kit believes it is some sort of poison on the studs, as whenever they are irritated they ooze green as well as bleed. To irritate them as little as possible, she wears only scraps of clothing--a pair of cut-off shorts that barely cover the necessities and a scrap of a bra. The only other scars she has are those on the front of her legs, once again from a whip, from her year of slavery. Personality:Kit has a short temper, though in only a year under the care of hellions she has learned to control it. She has since mellowed a bit, and only lashes out in the company of the ones who enslaved her--dragons and other hell creatures, though she refers to all of them as "demons." She has a facade of confidence she puts up in front of her companions and even strangers, but inside she is still shaken, and often has uncontrollable, terrifying nightmares. Rook is the only one who knows how fragile she really is, and it is he who comforts her on the nights when she cannot keep up the facade. Despite working with others for nearly five years, Rook is the only one she trusts, and this is only because he can read her thoughts and, occasionally, she his. Kit has already learned to distrust humans, and nothing any of the other rebels can do will change her mind. It was a human who showed her the whip. History:Kit spent a year in slavery after the apocalypse, in which she was forced to do hard work and had horrible things done to her. She prefers not to remember this time, nor the man named Bishop, who was most often the one who did those things to her. It was to the rebellion she came, half-crazed and starved, and it is there she stayed, being locked away for half a year in order to calm down and regain her mind, and then being put to work as a digger. During her three years of tunnelworking, she made friends with Rook, a young hatchling who was being held for ransom. When it came time for them to pay up, and Rook to go home, the dragonling and Kit found they didn't want to part. Kit couldn't bear to go back up into the world, and so Rook defied his father and their ways and retreated into the tunnels, where most demons--and definitely all dragons--wouldn't fit. Kit was overjoyed, and since their reunion, they have become rider and dragon--Kit, promoted to scouting in the last two years, rides with Rook over the volcanic rock above ground, and has begun hunting for firelizards--essentially Komodo Dragons with wings who eat rock and stone and little else, but are lit like embers from within. They have since become a light source and tunneling tools, as lighting real embers could smoke them out and a rock-eating demon is more useful than one who eats flesh. EXTENDED HISTORY
This history is rated PG-13 Kit was only fourteen when the world split open and hell broke loose, but since that time she has fought against everything she used to believe in. She was American, and soon learned that the luxuries she was used to having--a bath, warm food, three meals a day, and school--would no longer be readily available unless she bowed down to the creatures that took over, and became a slave. Seeing what happened to most of the girls her age--sold to high-ranking demons as sex slaves or enthralled and left desperately in love and willing to do anything to please--Kit decided that wasn't the life for her. She rebelled, initially, in order to be put to death, so she would not suffer the same fate; she found instead that, if she was not willing to be taken as a luxury slave, she would be put to work. They scarred her horribly so that the work was difficult, but she powered through it, always hoping for freedom--which, in her own mind, was death. She often attempted to kill herself and others, and so it was decided she needed to be watched; they put one of the luxury slaves, a man called Bishop, in charge of managing her, and bade him do anything necessary to teach her her place. Bishop's weapon of choice was a bladed whip, and Kit had seen the scars and wounds left behind by even one strike from it--it tore flesh to ribbons. She kept her head bent and did her best not to attract his attention. He soon grew bored with her, and began torturing the other slaves, though his eyes were always on her when he did so. Kit disliked him for that alone, as he seemed to enjoy his place, and soon grew to hate him for more than that--his constant watching, for example. It was only when, on a night when they were allowed to rest, she caught him sneaking into the bed of a much younger girl--she was only nine, though had rebelled the same way Kit had out of fear--that she reacted to any of it. She'd managed to keep a rather sharp stone away from the demons inspecting them as they went to sleep, and as she saw him crawl over the shaking girl, she leaped up and attacked, digging its sharp point into the back of his neck. He overpowered her easily, and the wound seemed not to bother him as he dragged her over to her own bedding by her hair. She was terrified he'd reach for the whip, but that only came later, the next day, as she was forced to work again and he punished her for even wiping the sweat from her brow. No, that night, he replaced the younger girl with her, and forced his way into her bed, raping her--and in the process, breaking her. From that point on, she flinched from any man, even those who were gentle or kind before. Bishop took advantage of her more than that one time, and soon enough it became a regular thing--the hellions, the demons, didn't care, and non of the other slaves were in any position to help her. He was driving her slowly toward insanity, with both kinds of abuse, until finally she snapped, and ran. Bishop had been trusted to keep her in place; he was no match for her in speed, though, and even his whip couldn't keep her down forever. She ran farther than even the demons were willing to go, and very soon came upon her own kind again--though by then, she was half-crazed, and certainly unwilling to let them touch her. It took careful handling, and the kind attention of a young man named Tobias, to prevent her to keep running, and for nearly six months she was locked in the tunnels and caves, attempting to regain her sanity whilst avoiding any and all males she came in contact with, save for young Tobias, who was more often than not gone anyway. She slowly came to realize that, in order to be kept, she would have to work, and so work she did, finding the first job she came across and beginning. This happened to be tunnel digging, and while it was very much like digging the holes in which the foundations of the demon's buildings would go, as she had as a slave, it was mindless work, and no one spoke to her there, allowing her to slowly get used to cool darkness instead of burning light, and the lack of screams of pain. Kit began to gain her confidence back, though it was with mistrust and a distinct survival instinct that kept her grounded in reality--and certain that she wouldn't stick her neck out for anyone ever again. Then along came Rook, who did much the same thing she had, slinking in without looking or speaking to anyone and beginning to do what everyone else did. While she had seen dragons as a slave--and ground-walkers had been most common, as they'd been the mounts of the demons keeping them "motivated"--she'd never seen one like him, and she'd never felt particularly threatened by them. Of course the mounts were vicious, but their masters were more so, and Rook was so kind when they worked side by side--she could sense his serenity, as if he projected it around himself--that she felt no reason not to reach out to him. His response was immediate companionship, and they soon became fast friends, working together on most things. Rook kept her sane; Kit kept him serene. Neither one of them trusted the others, but lived in a world of their own, and Rook soon sent his "tendrils" to her. What had once been simply a faithful animal--a pet, of sorts--soon became her closest compatriot, and they held many a conversation within their heads--though Rook always initiated them, as Kit lacked the ability. She shared with him Bishop, and her nightmares of the terrifying man; he told her of his time on the hatching grounds. When it came time for Rook to return there, he proclaimed rather irritatedly that he had no wish to go--and, when he was to be forced anyway, simply retreated into the tunnels, still small enough to accomplish that without being followed. Together, two years later, they were promoted to scouts, and while Rook always distracted her from the objective, they were good at it; Kit always had something to report, even if it wasn't enemy movements.

The dragons have since grown, and the rebellion run underground, out of site of the hell the world has become.ROOK
This profile is rated PG Appearance:Rook is what they call a "ground-crawler" dragon. He has no wings, but a long, muscled body, and a whip-like tail. Ground crawlers are usually found in darker hues, but Rook, contrary to this, is a translucent white, his skin shimmering in different pale colors in the sunlight. His eyes are pale blue, and he is often considered blind, as he doesn't look where he is going as he walks. His feet are widely spread, rather like hands, and he can stand on two legs to scout if he wishes to. He cannot walk this way, mind, but he can stand, and Kit often climbs onto his shoulders to look up with him. Rook cannot speak; the most sound he makes is a long, low warble, or a high fluting noise, the ranges most known of phoenixes. Rook can, however, use telepathy, and often uses this to communicate--he calls this communication "stretching tendrils." Kit assumes he means of tendrils of thought. At the shoulder, he stands seven feet tall; this is his full size. His neck stretches three feet higher. Personality:Rook is the quiet, contemplative type, usually staring into the distance and thinking of things young dragons don't usually think about. Having such close communions with humans has made him much more kind than usual dragons are, and he tends to think before he acts, relying more on the gut instincts of Kit than his own heart. History: Rook lead a relatively normal life, up until his egg hatched. He only needed to be incubated for a week, but he was so terrified of the world that he stayed within his egg much longer, and slowly grew bigger and bigger until he simply burst out, without any choice about it. Almost immediately, he was offered human flesh--a young male, one he would later learn was called Tobias, and whom he was supposed to kill. Rook managed to take the boy for himself, before the other hatchlings snapped away parts of him and he was left to bleed to death, and curled with him among the shattered remains of his eggshell. Tobias became his friend, and though he went hungry, as all they fed him was humans, Tobias kept him company as he slowly withered away. It turned out, after a few weeks of this, that that would not be his fate; Tobias was a part of the rebel's scouting group, and he lead several older men--slaves, Rook had thought--away from the hatching grounds with Rook and several other hatchlings, as well as dozens of eggs. At the time, Rook was small enough to be held and carried by the average adult male human, and though he struggled--weakly, he'd admit--they made it all the way to their then-new headquarters and he was lost to the others forever. Rook was kept separate from the other hatchlings; they needed to be "broken", and while they often sent him tendrils of pain and pleas for help, Rook took to his own job with a faithful dedication that was unlike his kind. Dragons were always trying to betray and overthrow their superiors, but Rook didn't, and that was perhaps what set him apart. When he made friends with Kit, that became even more apparent and, finally, he decided--very firmly, and against everyone's will--to stay with the rebels. Only Rook knew that his staying would also provide a way for his parents and their own masters to spy through his eyes, instead making sure that they never saw anything interesting, instead convincing Kit to do things that would bring them away from the central points of spying and scouting--like hunting for firelizards, and ways to better their home.

This profile is rated --- Appearance:Path is perhaps the first hybrid of ground-walker and cloud-scraper. She has the same thick, powerful build as her father, with a long neck and short legs. The only thing missing are her wings, and the mane of feathers, fur or spikes that usually mark a cloud-scraper. Her neck is instead smooth, and only her long, whip-like tail resembles that of a ground-walker, though as it gets to the end vicious spikes appear, very much like blades. Her shining silver eyes pierce much the same way. Personality:History:

This profile is rated PG Appearance:Toby is a small boy, barely old enough to keep track of himself--only thirteen, at the most, though he doesn't remember his exact age, and believes he may be much younger than that. A man looking at him would call him perhaps nine, but with how scrawny and malnourished he was even before hell was raised, he knows for a fact they're wrong. His skin, while once pale and with a tendency to become so in the darkness of the mines the rebels live in, is tanned, nearly burned almost always. He has dark bags under his bright blue eyes, and shaggy brown hair falls into them, though after a nice scrubbing one might realize his hair is, in fact, a dirty blonde. He has managed to hold on to an old, ragged shirt, and a ripped-up pair of khakis, which help somewhat with the bright sunlight on the hatching grounds. Personality:Tobias has spent quite a few years under the new world order already, and he's gotten used to the way things are. This isn't to say he approves of corrupt humans enslaving their own kind at the bequest of their new masters, of course, but he understands that many of them do it only to survive. Toby, himself, does his best to keep his chin up and his grin bright, but sometimes it all gets to be the best of him--usually when someone comes to "monitor" him on the hatching grounds--and he breaks down. Those times are the most dangerous; dragons feed on ill emotions, and he doesn't get much time to cry before he's running and dodging for his life. It's really the best way to keep happy thoughts, as long as he manages to keep running. History:Toby was a street rat when the world split open, too young to know the difference between what he'd had before and what he soon came to have. He was assigned a keeper of eggs, along with other young children his age, but after they hatched many of the friends he'd made were eaten, and it was only befriending--and tricking--one in particular that managed to save him. Through his trickery, he was forced to become somewhat of a cannibal--the ones he promised to save himself for wanted to fatten him up, and eating the scraps of food they brought only resulted in him eating his friends--or other hatchlings, though that was rare. Eventually he was found by the rebels, and promised a good home and food every day...if he could do a few jobs for them before they took him in. Really, he sees no reason he can't remain loyal to the people who "took him in" in the first place, while still helping out his own kind, but he supposes they're adult matters he simply isn't accustomed to.

POST-APOCALYPTIC: GUNS & ROSES Realm 2, in which the earth has moved farther from the sun, making it a cold, dark place, barely inhabitable. The creatures that can and do are mindless, insane things, and few humans still survive. Those that do are mostly female, as the men are changed into other creatures upon maturity--sacrificed, as it were, in order to keep the human race alive.OKI
